“Ethno-Techno. The world of Aladdin Garunov”.
We are proud to present the exhibition of Russian artist and sculptor Aladdin Garunov “Ethno-Techno. The world of Aladdin Garunov”. The exhibition will feature works from the series “Zikr”, “Self”, “Saints”, “In the presence of a landscape”, “Ethno-Techno” and “High Fashion”, as well as a series of sculptural objects.
In his works, the artist combines the use of new technologies with industrial and ethnic materials, thereby creating objects that, on the one hand, cause a feeling of harmony, and on the other, reflect, in the artist’s opinion, the contradictions of modern society and the world as a whole.
When creating his works, the artist uses materials such as rubber, tarpaulin, which symbolize modernity; fur, which is associated with the clothing of Sufi ascetic mystics; the carpet, whose ornament reminds of the inseparable connection between tradition and modernity and that throughout life people ask themselves endless questions about the search for the meaning of life.
The exhibition will run from the 3rd till the 17th of march from 12:00 – 19:30. We are open Tuesday – Sunday.
