Graduated from Kostroma College of Art.
From 1949-1954 he studied at the Moscow Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts in the studio of P.P. Sokolov-Skalya. In 1959 he graduated from Leningrad Higher Art-Industrial School named after V.I. Mukhina. He has been a member of the USSR Union of Artists since 1968. The artist’s heritage includes over 1000 works. He used a variety of techniques in his work: tempera, gouache, watercolour. He is one of the most known representatives of the sixties in Kostroma. His works can be seen in various museums in Russia and in private collections.
